Proximity and democracy
The fight for transparency in the EU started paying off after the Danish No to the Maastricht Treaty 2 June 1992. The June Movement also put forward demands on proximity and democracy. But here we just began seeing the results after the French and Dutch No to the Proposal for an EU Constitution in 2005.
